HP Integrated Lights-Out 2 (iLO 2) is the second generation Integrated Lights-Out technology providing a foundation to continue HP's tradition of innovative Lights-Out functionality for HP ProLiant and ProLiant BladeSystem servers. iLO virtualizes system controls to enable routine system administration, troubleshooting and maintenance over a network regardless of the server's state of operation.
HP iLO 2 consists of an intelligent processor and pre-loaded firmware that provides standard and advanced levels of lights-out, remote management functionality. Basic system board management functions, diagnostics and essential Lights-Out functionality are provided as standard server features known as Integrated Lights-Out 2 Standard and Integrated Lights-Out 2 Standard Blade Edition. Advanced functionality, such as graphical remote console, mutli user collaboration, and video record / playback, can be licensed with the optional HP iLO Advanced Pack or HP iLO Advanced for BladeSystem. These licensed features, along with many others, offer sophisticated virtual administration features for full control of servers in dynamic data center and remote locations.
