This cable set includes multiple cables that will support either the 8SFF x1 SAS/SATA Drive Cage or the 8SFF x4 Tri-Mode cage via connection to a Plug-in PCIe controller. This cable set does not support OROC Controllers. When selected with the 8SFF x4 Tri-Mode cage then this cable set will default to x2 (Y-Splitter) connectivity, and will require a minimum of a 2-port Tri-Mode controller, however a 4-port controller can be added in order to achieve x4 NVMe drive performance.
